I've recently been in contact with an old friend of mine, whose family was very close to me. It brought back memories of good times, but along with that, sadness. He shared some writings and stories through his blog, and with that, brought to surface the memory of the loss of my Dad in January, 2009. It's not something I really want to go over again, but would like to share his poem.
Happy days are here to be cast
Be it for today or from the past.
For we live life not only here and now
But also cherish memories with a vow
Not to forget beautiful moments in our life
To balance the foolish acts of our maind
And delegate them to others of their kind.
For we tend to remember pleasures derived
and fail to recall selfishness contrived.
